Hello Families,
Today your child is bringing home a handmade gift for a very special person! We hope that you have a wonderful weekend celebrating Father's Day!
With the birdhouses is a package of nails and a hanger. Depending on where you plan to hang your birdhouse, you may wish to:
- attach the hanger on the back of the bird house, using two of the small nails
- attach the perch to the front using wood glue or hot glue
- reinforce the frame with the additional small nails
- finish the birdhouse with a wood sealer if planning to hang it outside
Next week, we will be celebrating the children having summer birthdays! If your child has a summer birthday and would like to celebrate with their peers, please see the previous blog note regarding the Montessori Birthday Celebration.
On Friday, June 24th, Lake Bonavista School will be participating in Sports Day! We are looking for a few volunteers to support the kindergarten students as they rotate through Sports Day activities. If you are interested, and have a current Police Clearance on file with the school, please contact your child's teacher.
